Currently, the NHL prohibits players with vision in only one eye from
playing in league games. I doubt they'd drop the restriction for Berard,
although he might be able to play in the minor pro leagues or in Europe.
You're right about Galley, though. He discussed retiring when he was out
with injury during the season, but changed his mind. I don't recall if his
injury was a concussion or not.
