I can confirm after taking a lunch time walk that the Fleet Skating Center
is indeed closed.

There's nothing about a Fan Fest that I could find on the site PC put up
(www.friars.com) as host school (to which there's now a link from USCHO)
nor have I seen or heard anything in the local media. I called PC anyway
and after getting bounced around between several offices where no one knew
anything about there being one, was told by one person there would be
"something" in the area of the Fleet Skating Center, but she could provide
no details beyond that it wouldn't be anything like the Fan Fest last held
in Providence. From all that I'd surmize that if there's anything it won'be
much.

The Fleet Skating Center is located between Kennedy Plaza, City Hall and
the Westin Hotel, which is adjacent to the RI Convention Center where the
Hobey will be awarded. All are a two minute walk from the Civic Center.

Looking forward to seeing many of you Thursday.
