I've got a longer response to an earlier message "in production", but
a quick response to Terry's latest:

Are you telling me you've been basing all of your conclusions on the
PWR from March 5th?  There were two more weekends of results after
that, and the pairwise comparisons the committee used were based on
those results.  In the final, March 19, PWR, available for example at
<http://www.slack.net/~whelan/cgi-bin/tbrw.cgi?rankings> or
<http://www.uscollegehockey.com/rankings/19992000/pwr.cgi>, Niagara
was #5, which the selection committee themselves apparently did not
believe, or they would have seeded Niagara above Michigan State and
Boston College.
