Frankly I don't see what the great big deal is. Maybe its because I'm a
Gopher fan AND I've actually been outside the state before, but who cares
where they're from? The same person who can't stand a hockey player who
comes for Grand Forks (he must live at least 5 miles from MN) probably
loved Bobby Jackson. This isn't the dark ages of college sports anymore,
not even in hockey. It was a nice attempt by Woog to push us back to the
glory days, but it didn't work. I don't care if our players are from
Bloomington, Apple Valley, Duluth, Grand Forks, British Columbia or
anywhere else. All I want is a winner.

On a similar topic, has anyone else heard rumors about a couple of
Canadians who are playing juniors right now coming to the U of M next year.
A buddy of mine here was talking about it a couple of months ago already,
but I haven't seen him since so I don't know where he got that from. Seems
to me that would've been a big deal too, so that must not be a done deal
yet. Any info would be appreciated.
