"CONGRESS shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech..."

Boston University != Congress
Boston University != The government

Rule against profanity at an paid admission event != Law abridging
freedom of speech

But:

Boston University = A private institution that can enforce rules it
deems appropriate on its property, or during University events that
you have paid to attend.

Paid Attendance Ticket = Implied contract that obligates the bearer,
while attending the event it's for, to abide by the rules set forth
by the private institution hosting the event.

Thus endeth the little sideshow.
