First of all, get it right. It's not the Knickerpepsi, it's the Pepsibocker!!!
Yes it will make a big difference if RPI makes the playoffs,
but other teams bring in a large contingent also, particularly
BU, BC, UNH and Cornell. The arena is big and when they open the upper bowl, you can find good seats wandering around.
That's the good news. The bad news is that my last statement applies to this year (when you won't be here). I suspect
the the finals next year will be a sellout so wandering around
won't be an option.
 
As far as your seat assignment is concerned, the sight lines from the corner are good, the bowls are steep enough so that row M will give you an unobstructed view of the whole ice surface, but, obviously, you will be far away from the action at the other end. All in all, you should be ok. The corner
stinks but you're up high enough to make it only stink a little ;-)
