I downloaded the video, and what I didn't see in it is the referee. I take
this to mean that he was on the other side of the net. From that angle, it
may not have looked like a check to the head. If it looked to the official
like the cross-check hit the shoulder, then the minor penalty would be the
right call, IMHO.
