Hrm, maybe cause they're either tired (skiers can tell you you're more
likely to get injured late in the day than in the morning) or on the ice
more time than others? "Study finds that doctors who work longer shifts more
likely to fall asleep on the job." "Baseball players who have 10 at bats a
game likely to have more hits than those with 5 at-bats"

>Playing time

Maybe I'm going out on a limb again, but you gotta be kidding me if people
are more likely to get injured based on their state of mind or emotions.
Travis Roy was paralyzed on his first shift, he sure as hell wasn't in a bad
mood when he got injured. I could see a guy getting in a fight based on mood
swings, but as stated earlier, fights rarely if ever lead to anything more
than a little blood.

And someone please tell me how a guy is more likely to get injured based on
me going to a game or not(attendance). And no chaos theorists need respond.

And I still don't know how and why this pertains to full-shields versus
half-shields.
