Don't be so sure of that!  In the business section of today's Boston Herald,
http://www.businesstoday.com/topstories/wabu05061999.htm,
they tell a completely different story, with people having to interview for
their present jobs. The folks who own Paxson Communications have no
knowledge of the Beanpot tradition, and probably don't really care, either
(they are from West Palm Beach, FL). There is no guarantee that the present
employees will remain at WABU, according to this report.
 
I have my doubts that college hockey will survive on WABU if the new owners
show no interest in any local programming.  It would be up to other outlets
(Fox Sports Net, NESN) to pick up the slack, if they so desire and if it
fits into their plans. If these outlets think they can get decent ratings,
they will pick it up.
