I tried to stay out of this debate this year.  (Honest, Adam, I really did.)
But I've been saying for two years that playing with the seeds can go too far;
it's nice to hear someone agree with me on this.
 
And I still don't know how anyone can make a claim for consistency by the
committee.  Last year, we were told that, while intraconference match-ups were
to be avoided, a team (Ohio State, in that case) wouldn't be switched out of
the regional they had the seeding to be in in order to avoid one.  Yet this
year, that is precisely what happened to BC.  I'll say again what I said last
year: They make it up as they go along.  All this blather about how they
consistently prioritize things is just that, blather.  They were faced with
exactly the same situation as last year, and made exactly the opposite call.
Phooey on the committee.
