Thankfully the committee did not do this, because Maine earned the right to
stay in the East. I don't know why Parker made this comment, nor why this
is still an issue.

See, I can appreciate BC people being upset at going out West after winning
Hockey East, but the fact remains Maine had a great season and with only 6
losses, they didn't deserve a #4 west seed. Period. In fact, they
*deserved* the #2 East seed, but the committee gave it to Clarkson, which
is fine. All this talk is great, but there comes a time when playing with
the seeds can go a bit too far and had Maine been made a #4 seed *and* been
sent out west that would have been too much.

Maine was the second best team in the East by the numbers and proved that
this weekend. The committee did the right thing to reward Maine for it's
"season" performance and, essentially and unfortunately, penalize BC for
it's inconsistency over the course of the season rather than penalize Maine
for a couple losses late in the season.

Besides, BC-North Dakota should be a fantastic game, just like UNH/Michigan
was!!

Way to go committee, way to go Black Bears and way to go Hockey East!
