Not quite.  If Princeton had won the ECAC consolation game, they would
have made the tournament in place of Ohio State.
 
Why?  With a win the Tigers would have won the comparisons with RPI
and Notre Dame, and RPI would have lost the comparison with Ohio
State.  Neither RPI nor Notre Dame made the actual tourney, but the
effect of flipping those comparisons is to knock those two off the
bubble, as Princeton, Ohio State and Northern Michigan win comparisons
with both Notre Dame and RPI.  That leads us to award two bids among
the bubble of NMU, OSU and Princeton.  Their mutual comparisons are
all 1-1, and OSU has the lowest RPI (since Princeton's is higher in
this scenario), so they're out and NMU and Princeton are in.
