From what I have read the incident took place several weeks ago (mid
December) and that the actual arrest took place more recently. This
would account for the fact that it only recently appeared in print since
this is normally public record. Apparently there are two sides to this
issue which is why action was not immediate by local law enforcement
officials. In addition, arraignments are not generally scheduled months
after the arrest since there is always the issue of bail etc. I just
don't see any cover-up since every newspaper in New England posted the
story on the exact same day.

In any event, I find it difficult to understand how one could suggest
suspensions or sanctions before anyone has had their day in court. This
America after all.
