The only guarantee in a Beanpot consolation game is a lot of apathy.  Everyone I
know hates the Beanpot consolation, and FWIW, the players hate it the most.  For
that matter, why should the Beanpot be different than the GLI?
 
I would just assume do away with the all consolations except for the conference
tournaments.  A consolation winner in those situations could have a bearing in
the NCAA tourney.
