I like a 16-team tournament, even it means an automatic bid for the MAAC.  A
bid for the MAAC in hockey is the same as a bid for one of the minor
conferences in basketball; they have little or no chance of advancing, but
they don't mind going to the show.
 
The best part about a 16-team tourney is that it would eliminate the bye and
even out the competition.
