Laing is currently riding a shutout string of 175:24. Union's Trevor Koenig
set the ECAC record of 198:44 back in February of 1997, so if Laing keeps his
hot streak going until at least 3:21 of the second period of RPI's next game
(assuming he gets the start, and if he's still breathing, he almost certainly
will), he'll be the new ECAC shutout king. RPI's next game is this Saturday at
Union, which is dead last in the ECAC and is averaging a mere two goals per
game.
