> My personal feeling is that RIT is ripe for a move up to Division I.

If you think RIT is ready to move I guess Middlebury should already be
there, few teams have been as dominate as they have been in the 90's. I
remember when UVM use to play Middlebury and Norwich every season. Norwich
was usually the opening game and was a blowout but a physical game (you have
to know the history of the two schools). Middlebury was usually in
December-January and was always a battle. Very good games with Vermont
usually winning but I remember an upset in 1990. The victory came after
Vermont had a few good seasons in a row. These games were dropped from the
schedule in the early 90's. Just as Middlebury was becoming a dominate
power in DIII.

Too bad these games can't stay on the schedule. The Middlebury-Vermont
games were usually very good games. I think Middlebury could finish as high
as maybe 7th or 8th in the ECAC now. They would get some good wins too!
They are building a new state of the art facility that opens either this
season or next. It will sit about 4000 I think. Norwich just finished
building their new digs that is really nice. It sits about 2500-3000 I think.
