Back when UNH was still playing at Snively Arena, the crowd was
definitely among the best even during the down years. The area
was very small and had horrible acoustics which made it very
loud to begin with. Also, the walkways for the stands were
right next the playing surface and they usually allowed fans
to stand next to the glass. So the combination of yelling,
chanting and pounding on the glass made for a pretty hostile
environment for visiting teams. The new arena is bigger but
more modern and sterile which makes it pretty tough to achieve
the same atmosphere but it's still a good crowd.
