In today's Minneapolis Star-Tribune it was reported that Duluth East
senior-to-be Pat Finnegan is going to play for Windsor in the Ontario
Hockey League this season. Finnegan would have been the top recruit from
the state of Minnesota this year.

This happens about every other year when a top high school senior from
Minnesota skips his senior season and foregoes college hockey to play
Juniors in Canada. Jamie Langenbrunner (now with Dallas) and Luke Curtin
are two others I can recall doing this.

Does this happen in other areas of the country?
