The Brown Hockey Association hosted its annual Team Reception & Banquet
at Wannamoisett Country Club recently and the following awards and
appointment were announced:

Senior forward and Captain DAMIAN PRESCOTT was named recipient of the
CLASS OF 1936 HOCKEY TROPHY as the team's most valuable player. It was the
second year in a row that he was so honored. Damian also garnered the
PATRICK S. JONES MEMORIAL TROPHY awarded by the coaching staff to the
player who best represents the team throughout the season by his
commitment, attitude and leadership.

BOB QUINNELL, senior defenseman studying for a double major in economics
and organizational behavior & management with a 3.57 grade average, was
awarded the CHARLES ALEXANDER ROBINSON, JR. HOCKEY TROPHY FOR ACADEMIC

Senior goaltender JEFF HOLOWATY was presented the CHARLES A. LANIGAN
MEMORIAL TROPHY as the player who best represented the hockey program both
on the ice and in the community.

A newly-endowed trophy, named in memory of legendary Coach JAMES H.
FULLERTON who led the hockey Bears from 1955-1970, was given to freshman
forward JON ZIELINSKI in recognition of the first-year player who, in the
eyes of his teammates, contributed most to the success of the team.

It was also announced that junior forward PAUL GIBLIN has been elected
captain of next season's Brown hockey squad by his teammates. Giblin came
to Brown from the Hotchkiss School as a quick, hard-nosed winger who likes
to go to the net and play the body. An unselfish player, he passes the

15-13-28 career point totals. Giblin's team will return a total of 22
