In various posts offering ECAC playoff predictions, I've notice people
discussing how teams have done in the playoffs in the past.
 
In light of the fact that the past often means during the last 40 years
(when current players may not even have been born), does it really make
sense to rely on history.  Perhaps if you're talking about losses during
the tenure of the current seniors, or even the coaches, it might make some
sense.  But does it really matter, for example,to today's Colgate team that
Colgate lost two quarterfinal series at Harvard in the 80's.
 
 
Unless, of course, you believe in curses. . .
