A highly entertaining hockey game from Grand Forks in which the Sioux
come out on top two to one thanks to two third period goals. Sacha Molin
scored the lone goal for SCUS toward the end of the first on a
breakaway. UND gets goals from Wes Dorery and Jeff Panzer in the third
to close it out.

Thoughts:

- SCSU is for real! They play a very tenatious style of physical play
along with effectivly closing down the passing lanes. UND didn't look
sloppy with their passes, SCSU just seemed to have everyone covered at
almost all times.

- Stellar goaltending. Both goalies had several possible game-winning
saves. One of the UND goals was disallowed due to the fact that the
whistle had quickly been blown as the puck was in the crease and could
not be seen. Is it just me or are the whistles being blown faster this
season?

- Due to SCSU blocking the passing zones and the great goaltending by
Leitza, UND had streaks of appearing very frustrated. There were several
errant passes at the Sioux end which nearly cost them several goals.

Both teams square off again tonight.
