The one-man-band (or percussion stick) can be no other than "Goofus",
(real name Al Ammesmaki) from Negaunee MI.  I'd say his voice is his
real trademark, but the percussion intstrment is close behind.  He is
seen at various events; I've seen him often at Munn Arena in East Lansing
(a Spartan backer, as well as NMU - I'm unsure what he does when those
two meet.
  I was fortunate to sit immediately behind him at the GLI and had a real
evening of entertainment.  (No percussion stick and no wandering around that
night - and was displayed on the overhead screen.)  He often (if not always
appears at Joe Louis in Detroit.
