BU defeats NU 5-4 as both teams traded goals evenly throughout the game
until Drury scores his 24th of the year halfway to the third to close the
scoring and secure the win for BU. Drury had an earlier goal, as did Mike
Sylvia (who I think also scored twice -- this was all relayed to me via a
payphone in a bar). Newcomer Tommi Degermann had an assist on Drury's first
goal. Although the scoring went back and forth, BU completely dominated on
the offense. Marc Robitaille of Northeastern made 50 saves (20 in the
second period -- I was told that many were quite spectacular) to keep his
Huskies within until the very, very end. NU never led in this game, and
this game also saw a modicum of penalties, with over 20 minutes whistled
against each side.

And now for a question -- I know there have been much higher save tallies
for a single game, but what's the highest for a single period? With a
couple of 60+ save games out there, someone's gotta have at least 25 in a
single period (??)

Also, what's the record for the most shots taken/faced in a single period?

ps: for those of you counting, this makes 3 straight wins (2 over UNH)
since BU was dropped from the top 5 as most fans and critics counted them
out... anyone out there think they'll lose/tie more than 2, maybe 3 games
until the Frozen Four? Oughtta be a great HE playoff this year!
