The University of Wisconsin Badgers defeated the Michigan Tech Huskies Friday
night by a score of 4-3. Wisconsin was led by Rick Enrico with 2 goals, and
goals by Siren and Rothering. Kirk Daubenspeck was the starter Friday night,
and played well, but was still not up to par. Freshman goaltender Mike
Valley is expected to start tonight's game.

The victory moves UW into a tie for 5th place in the WCHA with
Minnesota-Duluth. And Wisconsin has a game in hand on Minn-Duluth, which
will be played tonight. So if UW wins, they will move into sole ownership
of 5th place in the WCHA, and only 1-3 points behind Minnestoa.

NOTES: Wisconsin is 7-0 on Friday nights in the WCHA. They wore their usual
home jersey's, not the Tournament Special Jersey's they wore during the
Badger Showdown and exhibition game against Finland. (I don't remember
whether the Badgers had their Red helmets or White helmets on. BTW, I too
prefer the Red helmets at home!) More later!

Yours,

Terry E. Tuschen Jr.
