The University of Vermont played a strong game against Lake Superior last
evening.

The goaltending was what the Gutterson faithful has come to expect from
Tim Thomas, and the scoring was more balanced then we have seen in recent
years. The first line of Perrin-St Louis, and Reid had it's usual impact,
but the line of Piche, Sanders, and Kilburn may be the line that gives
other teams fits. They buzzed in the offensive zone most of the evening,
making the Cats
more then a one line team.Solid defensive play once again was evident,
with most rebounds being cleared away.

There was a moment of panic in the rink when All-American Eric Perrin went
down injured in the second period as he sent Martin St Louis in on a
breakaway <which he scored on>. He was escorted off the ice in obvious
pain. He returned with several minutes left in the period to a loud
ovation, and then proceded to pop in a 3rd period power play goal.

Overall, a very consistent effort for a team that has not really put
together a great game, but has managed to knock off 4 quality teams.
