The Wisconsin State Journal, 9/27/96, is reporting that the WCHA will
undergo an audit to see if there is any evidence of financial wrongdoing by
commissioner Bruce McLeod.  This comes in the wake of accusations of
financial improprieties by McLeod at UMD, where he recently resigned as
athletic director.  The report stresses that he is not being accused of
anything by the WCHA, but they want to make sure that everything is
above-board.  The audit is likely to take several months.
