It isn't really that bad for SCSU.  The Denver series was right after
finals week for the players (so their minds were clear).  Then the
Thursday game was during Spring Break.  So that worked out nice for
SCSU.  But, within the next two years SCSU will be switching to
semesters (mandated by Fall 1997 from legislature), then there will be
some problems.
 
One thing you should also look at is the distance most teams have to
travel.  Alaska has to fly everywhere for away games, whereas SCSU, UMD,
UND, Wisc, and Minn can generally bus to most places in the conference.
