I know I would certainly consider it more of an outrage if either
Maine or BU does not receive a bye. There seems to be no doubt that
both teams belong ahead of Clarkson...but there was ample evidence
last year that other teams deserved a bid over CC.

This made me wonder:

* HE says Maine and BU are regular season co-champions of HE. Maine
was only seeded first because of the need to have 1st and 2nd seeds
for the HE tourney.

So, if either Maine or BU wins the HE tourney, will that team also be
guaranteed a bye, having "won" the regular season too? This is
important because the loser could still belong above the winner
depending on their RPIs and other factors, but the winner would be the
team that gets the bye.

I am not sure how the committee views the tie - that's my point.
