An interesting note from Bob Monahan's column in the Boston Globe today
(2/10/95) about a college hockey-Hollywood connection. David E. Kelley,
director/producer of TV shows "LA Law", "Picket Fences", and "Chicago
Hope", is a former captain of the Princeton hockey team and the son of
Jack Kelley, former BU coach. David Kelley is currently married to
Michelle Pfeiffer, who is scheduled to be feted as Harvard Hasty Pudding
Club's Woman of the Year on Monday. Both Kelley and Pfeiffer are
expected to attend the Beanpot final on Monday night, as Kelley is a
longtime Beanpot regular.

Other highlights in the column:
Comments and quotes from coach Don (Toot) Cahoon on Princeton's successful
weekend.

Bill Riley 3rd may follow in his predecessor's footsteps as a hockey
player: his grandfather was a star at Dartmouth, his dad played at BU
and coached Lehigh and Lowell, and Bill the 3rd is rumored to be leaning
toward attending Colby after finishing at Kimball Union Academy (where he is
hockey captain and student body president.)

Tufts is on a 9-game winning streak after an 0-4-3 start; their coach,
Steve Hoar, is the former coach at Plattsburgh State during their 1987-88
Division 3 championship season. Goalie Bunk McMahon (9 straight wins
after losing first 19 varsity games) and top scorers Doug Gentile
(15-17-32), Matt Ryan (15-15-30) and Geoff Keniry (10-11-21) are
having fine seasons.
