BAUER/CCHA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Rem Murray, a senior left wing from
Michigan State University, has been selected Bauer/CCHA Offensive Player of the
Week for his performance the weekend of January 6-7, 1995.  He played junior
hockey for the Stratford (Ontario) Cullitons and was selected by the Los
Angeles Kings in the 1992 National Hockey League entry draft.
 
Murray, a 6-2, 188-pound native of Dublin, Ontario, had four points (two goals,
two assists) in Michigan State's 9-2 victory over Ferris State.  He scored the
second and third (game-winning goal) goals of the game.
 
COOPER/CCHA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Charles Thuss, a senior goaltender
from Miami University, has been selected Cooper/CCHA Defensive Player of the
Week for the weekend of January 6-7, 1995.  He played junior hockey for the
Sarnia (Ontario) Ranson Bees.
 
Thuss, a 6-0, 185-pound native of Sarnia, Ontario, stopped 83 of 87 shots as
Miami tied and won at Western Michigan.  In Friday's 3-3 overtime tie, he had
46 saves (including eight in overtime) for a .939 saves percentage.  In
Saturday's 3-1 win, Thuss stopped 37 of 38 shots for a .974 saves percentage.
In each of the six regulation periods of hockey, Thuss faced double-digit total
in shots.
