What was amazing to me was how much the Junior team improved from the
1st period to the 3rd.  They had practiced together at most 3 days
before this game, and they were playing quite well together.
 
Air force started senior (and rhodes schholarship finalist) mike
benson in net.  He could not be faulted for the score from in close.
Air force tied it later on in the 1st on a power play.  The falcons
put freshman jeremy gregoire in net for the second.  The junior team
got two goals in the last 1:15 to carry the lead into the second
intermission.  Starter Pat Kielb was in goal for the 3rd period, and
can't be faulted for any of the goals.
 
The juniors out shot air force 30 to 10 or thereabouts.  Separate
posts follow with the roster and some gossip from coach jackson, coach
lucia, and tim swiador who was linesman at saturday's minnesota/cc
game.
