To answer the query...Rule 6-41.a. <stuff deleted>  "The home team shall have
the choice of ends to start the game.  The home team player's bench shall be
nearest the end selected."

Subject:      BC third period switches
 
Presuming that being closer to the defensive end is an advantage, why is
BC allowed to always choose which end they will start with?  Is this a
home team choice by rule?  Could BU or Maine just say, "tonight we want to
start at the other end"?
