I really don't think that this should be a discussion about Canadian
     players versus U.S. players.
     Minnesota's policy is to not recruit non-Minnesotian players.  If
     that's the way that they want to conduct business, fine.
     But I don't think think that you can fault schools for using players
     from out of state.
     I'm sure there are alot of players with Div I potential who would
     rather play for a school with more exposure than their local Div III
     program.
 
     Minnesota, unlike many states has an abundance of hockey players.
 
     Even though they may be on a golf scholarship.
