This is somewhat in reference to all the postings regarding the Top 25
     poll and the number of teams.
 
     I read in the local paper yesterday that officials from UNLV and the
     NCAA were going to meet.  Apparently with the popularity of Las Vegas'
     minor league hockey team, there is a good possibility that UNLV may
     field a hockey team in the near future.
 
     I have also heard rumors in the past about a new college hockey league
     being looked at in the west.  Club teams like UCLA's and U of Wash's
     are on the verge of being considered varsity sports.
     A new league consisting of UCLA, U of Wash, CC, U of Denver, AA, and
     AF would seem the geographically logical choice.
 
     Does anyone else have any info on the rumors?  Please remember, that
     is all it is, a rumor that was heard and passed on.
