i guess if no one can appreciate the irony of a bu grad student (and hockey
season ticket holder) attempting to defend the 'honor' of bc to some small
measure, i'll refrain from wading into eagle's advocate waters anymore!
if they are truly guilty of the horrors that they have been accused of, i
would not be one to stand in the way of swift and just punishment(s).
a note to PSA's (or parents of): it seems that allowing your academic
institution or 'boss' (coach, ad, advisor in academics) to get the upper-hand
on you opens up a multitude of opportunities for getting screwed. i think i
brought on more 'trouble' than i deserved once i let go of most of the
leverage i once had. if there's a way for PSA's and SA's to maintain an
'advantage' over what might be an untrustworthy/unstable situation, imho
such previously discussed horrors might not be as apt to happen.
i'm glad to see that the hall kid was able to land on his feet at unh. if
i wasn't leaving the area, i'd pay to see a few bc-unh tilts this season.
i'm not quite sure i understood the correia (sp?) thing (promising goal-
tending prospect, didn't get promised scholarship, got need-based financial
aid totalling about 6k out of 25k, is a good friend of the fg kicker that
BEAT NOTRE DAME whose father is a higher-up with the whalers, had financial
aid package tripled/trebled after fg kicker's father 'talked' to gladchuk).
how can a student's need all of a sudden triple honestly? was this 12k
taken from a prospective scholar whose need suddenly decreased?
i'm still interested in hearing more published college hockey coach salary
information. from the responses i've received at present, coach york's
extra 50k was maybe necessary to get him to wade into to mess on 'the hill'.
i wish to re-iterate that i truly believe coach york will turn things around
for bc. and i think ad gladchuk has done a superb job lining up the staff
of coaches bc currently has and helping bring certain other sports into
national prominence.
