On Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, UMS:IT Data Center Operations Staff will
initiate a data migration from our current aging Netapp storage system to a
new platform. This process will occur in the background and is expected to
take between 2 to 4 weeks for completion. We will provide another update
upon final cutover and completion of this migration.

A fiber break between Augusta and Waterville caused a momentary service
outage for a portion of users on the UMS and MSLN network this morning at
approximately 9:15am. Network services failed over to and are currently
running on alternate paths. The cause of the break is still under
investigation, however no additional service interruptions are anticipated
at this time. Updates will be provided when available.
